A Love Story 10 Years in the Making

Jasmine and Ricky’s story began during their freshman year of college in 2014, just weeks after classes started. “We hit it off from the start,” Jasmine shared. Ricky was born and raised in the area, while Jasmine had just moved across the country to attend school — but the connection was instant.

Last December marked ten years together, making it the perfect moment to celebrate their wedding with the people who had supported their journey from the beginning.

Choosing the Kimpton Collection: A Blend of Meaning & Beauty

The ceremony took place at a century-old nursery and landmark in the Philadelphia region — a venue so naturally beautiful that it served as its own backdrop. With historic charm and lush surroundings, Jasmine and Ricky chose to let the setting speak for itself, keeping the ceremony décor simple and allowing the ‘I do’ moment to shine.

When it came to florals, Jasmine knew exactly what she wanted — long before she even began planning. Red, the signature hue of our Kimpton Collection, holds deep cultural significance for both Jasmine and Ricky.

“Red in Chinese culture signifies good luck, happiness, vitality, and prosperity,” Jasmine explained. “As he is Chinese-American and I’m Taiwanese-American, I wanted to incorporate elements of our culture into the wedding.”

The Kimpton Collection — with its rich reds, soft pinks, magnolia foliage, and lush textures — became the perfect fit for their winter celebration. Jasmine loved how the palette balanced bold romance with softness, and how seamlessly it blended into the venue’s historic winter charm.

Florals That Stole the Spotlight

With Jasmine in her classic white gown and embroidered veil, the Kimpton Cascading Bridal Bouquet made a breathtaking statement — its rich reds and soft pinks creating a striking burst of color against her timeless look. Her bridesmaids, dressed in varying shades of blue, carried Kimpton Posies that added an ethereal contrast, allowing the florals to shine even more. The groomsmen tied the palette together in coordinated blue suits and matching ties, each wearing a Kimpton Boutonniere for a cohesive, elegant touch.

The result was a winter palette that felt perfectly seasonal — festive without feeling too ‘holiday’, warm without overwhelming, and full of romantic depth that echoed the soft glow of winter lights.

A Warm & Inviting Reception

The reception space already boasted a cozy, intimate charm, so Jasmine opted for minimal floral accents: gold and beige bud vases filled with Kimpton posies and red rose buds fit perfectly, and brought just the right touch of color to the tables without overwhelming the décor.

“It was important to me that everything look beautiful both in person and on camera.” Jasmine shared — and the combination of the Kimpton florals and beige vases provided exactly that.

The true centerpiece of the reception was Jasmine and Ricky’s sweetheart table. Jasmine styled it with the Kimpton Magnolia Garland, incorporating soft pink rose buds for added romance.

The result was breathtaking — lush, textured, and perfectly framed against the warm glow of the room. Guests couldn’t stop admiring the arrangement, and it became one of the most photographed details of the night.
