LOVE IN BLOOM | REAL LOVE. REAL WEDDINGS. REAL ADVICE.

From a high school romance to a surprise Central Park proposal, Shelly and Anthony's love story has been years in the making. And when it came time to say "I do," their wedding was every bit as romantic as their story.

We're kicking off our Love in Bloom series with a closer look at their special day, featuring dreamy, vintage-inspired details, beautiful silk wedding flowers, and the moments that made their celebration uniquely theirs.

As one of six couples selected for our 10-year anniversary Love in Bloom Giveaway, Shelly and Anthony are sharing their wedding story, favorite memories, and a little advice for couples planning their own big day.

A Love Story Years in the Making

Shelly and Anthony first met in middle school, but their love story didn't officially begin until high school. Fast forward a few years, and Anthony had a very special surprise planned!

While the couple was in New Jersey looking at apartments for their upcoming move, Anthony planned a dinner date in the city. After dinner, the two took a stroll through Central Park, where he found the perfect quiet spot to get down on one knee!

Shelly was completely surprised, making the moment even sweeter! Of course, the newly engaged couple couldn't wait to call their family and friends to share the exciting news!

A Romantic Wedding at Casa Feliz

When planning their big day, Shelly stumbled upon the venue, Casa Feliz, on Pinterest and immediately fell in love! The charming historic venue was perfect for their wedding vision.

The couple described their wedding aesthetic as vintage Spanish romance, featuring natural shades of blue, brown, and green. Shelly knew soft, dusty blue wedding flowers would be the perfect finishing touch!

While searching for wedding florals, she discovered Something Borrowed Blooms and was instantly obsessed! With so many beautiful collections and color options, she loved that there was something for every bride and every wedding style. Plus, the convenience, affordability, and sustainability of renting wedding flowers made her decision even easier!

The Millie Collection was the perfect match! Its dreamy combination of soft blues, lilacs, and whites complemented the couple's romantic wedding vision beautifully.

Silk Wedding Flowers That Stole the Show

From her bridal bouquet to the Floral Swags, Grand Centerpieces, and Floral Meadows, Shelly incorporated the Millie Collection throughout her special day!

While she loved every arrangement, her absolute favorites were the Floral Meadows. These lush, statement-making arrangements were first used during the wedding ceremony before being repurposed in the center of the reception space. We love a floral moment that gets to shine more than once!

And the best part? Their guests couldn't stop complimenting the flowers! Shelly shared that many guests had no idea the arrangements were silk, let alone that they could be rented!

She also incorporated candles throughout the celebration, adding a soft, romantic glow without having to worry about real flames. The perfect finishing touch!

Why Shelly Chose Wedding Flower Rentals

One of Shelly's favorite parts about renting wedding flowers from Something Borrowed Blooms was knowing exactly what her arrangements would look like before the big day. No worrying about seasonal flower availability or whether the florals would match her vision!

She also loved having an entire collection of coordinating pieces that could be used throughout both the ceremony and reception.

As someone who loves decorating, planning the reception space was one of Shelly's favorite parts of the process. Seeing her entire floral vision come together in person was even more magical!

Wedding Planning Advice From the Bride

When asked what she would tell future brides considering Something Borrowed Blooms, Shelly's answer was simple: "Honestly, just rent them!"

She shared that renting silk wedding flowers was absolutely worth it and that she would recommend it for any special event. Not only did everything look gorgeous, but she loved knowing the florals could be returned and reused for future celebrations!

Her biggest wedding planning advice? ‘Enjoy the process and don't stress the little things!’

Shelly shared that one of the best pieces of advice she and Anthony received was to stay present and soak in every moment. By trusting their wedding planner to handle the details, they were able to fully enjoy their special day without worrying about a thing!

From their sweet Central Park proposal to their romantic wedding celebration, Shelly and Anthony's love story is one for the books!

We're so happy to have played a part in bringing their wedding vision to life through our Love In Bloom Giveaway. Cheers to the newlyweds and a lifetime of love, laughter, and happily ever after! ?
