Top 5 Wedding Trends for 2025
How Something Borrowed Blooms Brings These Visions to Life
As 2025 approaches, the wedding industry is abuzz with exciting trends that promise to make this year’s celebrations more vibrant and unforgettable than ever. At Something Borrowed Blooms, we’ve always been ahead of the curve in curating stunning, sustainable floral solutions. Reflecting on our 2024 photoshoots, we’re aligning our designs with the predicted 2025 wedding trends, showcasing how we’re ready to help couples create their dream day with style and innovation.
1. Pantone’s Color of the Year: Mocha Mouse
Pantone’s 2025 Color of the Year, Mocha Mouse, brings warmth and depth to wedding palettes. This rich, neutral tone is versatile and pairs beautifully with various aesthetics.
The Nina Collection: Mocha Mouse shines alongside the earthy elegance of our Nina Collection. In our Fall/Winter 2024 Lookbook, we paired the Nina Collection with brown satin bridesmaid dresses from our friends at Revelry, creating a harmonious and cozy look.
The Wren Collection: For a softer, more romantic take, Mocha Mouse complements the Wren Collection’s delicate palette of white and peach orchids and light beige roses. Although we’ve never styled the Wren Collection with a brown hue, we know for a fact that this would be a stunning combination. This pairing is perfect for couples seeking understated elegance.
2. Colorful Wedding Flowers
Say goodbye to muted tones and hello to bold, colorful blooms! This trend is taking over, with searches for “colorful bridal bouquet” up 267% this year, according to Hitched. Couples are seeking vibrant, clashing arrangements to make a statement.
- The Kate Collection: The Kate Collection is the perfect balance between modern simplicity and traditional romance. Composed of light, pastel-colored flowers, with a focus on soft pink roses, peach accents, and various shades of blue flowers, the arrangements offer a perfect muted color palette.
- The Gemma Collection: This collection is all about PINK in every color and every shade—it’s the ultimate showstopper. The Gemma collection is vibrant and monochromatic, it features a captivating blend of bright bougainvillea, various shades of pink roses, camellias, lush ranunculus, and dreamy peonies. Together, these elements create a harmonious spectrum of pinks and fuchsias, perfect for couples looking to make a bold and romantic statement.
- The Kinsley Collection: With its vivid hues, Kinsley is ideal for creating Pinterest-worthy moments. Searches for “pink and orange flowers” have soared 200%, and “vibrant wedding flowers” have seen a 300% increase, proving couples are ready for colorful chaos. And they’re sure to get that look with our most popular collection to date.
3. Fruits and Vegetables in Wedding Decor
Edible elements are taking center stage in wedding design, offering an organic, harvest-inspired aesthetic. We’ve embraced this trend in our recent photoshoots.
The Nina Tablescape: Featured in our Fall/Winter 2024 Lookbook, this design included a mix of fall harvest fruits and vegetables like purple eggplants, cabbage, tomatoes, and artichokes. Scattered Nina posies added a touch of floral beauty to the salal leaf garland. Paired with our gold collapsible candelabra and LED battery-operated taper candles, these elements created an intimate and inviting glow.
The Kimpton Scene: Black cherries adorned the table, providing a luxurious pop of color. Our premium silver candle set introduced an unexpected touch of elegance and height to our Kimpton Vaseless Centerpieces, creating a striking tablescape with beautifully varied dimensions.
The Cameron Collection: Another notable scene our design team created was for our Spring/Summer 2024 lookbook. Citrus fruits such as grapefruit, pears, green grapes, and kiwi were artfully incorporated into the tablescape, adding a fresh and vibrant touch. A Cameron Large Centerpiece took center stage, flanked by aisle markers on either side to create a lush, balanced arrangement. To complete the look, our elegant tulip candlesticks were scattered throughout, adding a soft glow and timeless charm to the design.
4. Dreamy Drapery Installations
Drapery has taken on a whimsical, romantic feel for 2025 weddings. Soft, gauzy fabrics are being draped from ceilings and walls, creating ethereal environments.
Kimpton Fall/Winter 2024 Lookbook Scene: We transformed the space with white gauzy drapery, lending an airy, dreamlike quality to the space we had to work with. Celebrity event planner Mindy Weiss noted, “Draping with pick-ups creates a romantic and billowy effect that’s much more dynamic than straight lines.”
Our ready-to-use decor and floral accents make it easy for couples to incorporate this trend into their wedding effortlessly.
5. Cake Meadows and Vignettes
Dessert displays are blooming in 2025, with cake meadows and vignettes becoming showstopping centerpieces.
The Cameron Collection: Our Spring/Summer 2024 Lookbook highlighted how our custom garlands can transform a cake table into a lush display.
The Nina Collection: Featured again in our Fall/Winter 2024 Lookbook, Nina’s timeless beauty brought life to cake meadows, making them both stunning and effortless to create.
The Kate Collection: Floral Meadows is a new statement piece for select collections, including the Kate. Add these large stand-alone arrangements in the front of your cake table to create a lush meadow in minutes.
