How to Repurpose Your Wedding Flowers for Your Reception & Beyond

Make every dollar count with these savvy wedding flower tips and tricks

Your wedding flowers are one of the most beautiful elements of your big day, setting the tone with color, texture, and ambiance. But what if you could make the most out of your floral arrangements beyond just the ceremony? With a little planning, your wedding flowers can do double (or even triple) duty—saving you money and ensuring that every petal is fully appreciated.

Here’s how to repurpose your wedding flowers throughout your celebration and beyond!

1. Ceremony to Reception Transition

Altar Arrangements as Sweetheart Table Decor

Large floral arrangements placed at the altar, such as floral meadows, swags, and grand centerpieces can be easily moved to frame your sweetheart table or the head table. This creates a seamless transition of decor and keeps the romance flowing throughout the reception. These statement pieces can also be positioned by your DJ or band to enhance their stage presence. For example, a grand floral arch from the altar could be repurposed behind the sweetheart table, adding a touch of elegance and grandeur. Similarly, floral swags or garlands could be draped around the table, creating a soft and romantic atmosphere.

SBBlooms Insider; Micheala, used Marlowe Grand Centerpieces to flank her ceremony space and then repurposed them behind her sweetheart table to create a stunning backdrop.

Aisle Flowers as Centerpieces

Aisle markers hanging from your chairs or pews can be repurposed as centerpieces or accent decor on cocktail tables, gift tables, or the bar. Putting two aisle markers criss-crossed into an ‘x’ fashion can also double as a smaller arrangement. This not only adds a touch of charm and personality to the reception but also maximizes the use of your floral arrangements. For instance, tall aisle arrangements could become eye-catching centerpieces, while smaller posies in bud vases could adorn cocktail tables.

Bridal and Bridesmaid Bouquets as Table Decor

Instead of letting your bridesmaid bouquets rest on a chair or disappear after photos, placing these beautiful arrangements fanned out around your cake doubles as a cake meadow. This adds a touch of whimsy and elegance to the cake display and ensures that your bouquets remain a focal point throughout the reception. The bouquets could be arranged in a variety of ways, such as a cascading waterfall or a circular halo, depending on the style and size of the cake. Add some cake flowers to create a cohesive floral look throughout the table space.

2. Cocktail Hour & Reception Enhancements

Welcome Sign & Seating Chart Decor

Use floral arrangements to enhance signage, such as the welcome sign, seating chart, or guestbook table. It adds a thoughtful touch and ties in with your floral theme. Those floral swags or meadows you used for your ceremony would be perfect on the floor flanking these displays.

Photo Booth Backdrops

Create a stunning photo backdrop by incorporating repurposed florals into the setup. Whether draped over an arch or placed around a vintage frame, flowers enhance photo moments for guests. Garlands and Floral Runners would be our go-to for decorating the perfect photo opp!

3. Post-Wedding

Host a Farewell Brunch

Picture this: it’s the morning after your wedding, and you and your bridal party are craving a delicious meal and a refreshing iced latte. Why not celebrate in style and host a farewell brunch?

Repurpose your wedding décor for a budget-friendly and chic brunch setting! Reuse your centerpieces, garland, and table decor to transform your brunch venue into an extension of your wedding aesthetic. This not only saves you money but also adds a touch of elegance and sentimentality to your post-wedding celebration.

How Much Do Wedding Flowers Cost?

Finding ways to save money on your wedding without losing quality can be tough. Learn more about all the benefits of renting silk flowers for your wedding today!

@catalkirephoto

As a newly engaged couple, wedding planning is likely in full swing. With each decision you make, one big question looms: How much do wedding flowers cost? It seems like a straightforward question, but the answer varies greatly depending on several factors. On average, experts recommend allocating 8-10% of your wedding budget to flowers. However, this estimate can fluctuate based on your choices.

Let’s explore what variables in the cost of wedding flowers and how silk flowers can offer a stunning, budget-friendly alternative without compromising on quality.

Factors Affecting the Cost of Wedding Flowers

As a newly engaged couple, you’re weeks into wedding planning and as you confirm more selections for your wedding day your budget begins to close in on you. And so comes the most basic floral question - "How much do wedding flowers cost?". It seems like a pretty simple question, expected to be followed by a rather simple response. But not so much so! Determining the cost of wedding flowers varies greatly from couple to couple. The rule of thumb budget suggests 8% of the total wedding budget is expensed to flowers, but that rule is easily broken by various factors and considerations.

Fresh or Silk Flowers?

Are you considering fresh flowers, or are you open to premium silk wedding flowers? Fresh flowers often come with significant costs due to labor, seasonality, and availability. For instance, a winter wedding with fresh peonies or ranunculus could quickly escalate your floral expenses.

Seasonality

Seasonal blooms are typically more affordable, but if your chosen flowers are out of season, expect to pay a premium. Similarly, getting married near floral-heavy holidays like Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day can further increase costs.

Ceremony and Reception Needs

From bridal bouquets to elaborate ceremony arches and reception centerpieces, the number of arrangements required will impact the overall cost. Additionally, if fresh florals require professional installation, labor fees will be added to your bill.

The Benefits of Silk Wedding Flowers

If spending thousands of dollars on flowers that will wilt by the end of the day makes you uneasy, consider a smarter solution: silk wedding flowers. At Something Borrowed Blooms, we offer premium silk flowers that look real, smell delightful, and are always in season. Here’s a breakdown of the average cost savings:

Average Wedding FlowersSomething Borrowed Blooms
Bridal Bouquet$195 - $275$65
Bridesmaid Bouquet$65 - $70$35

Posy

$40 - $55$15
Hair Accessories

$35 - $40

$6
Boutonniere

$20 - $40

$6
Corsage$20 - $40$12
Flower Girl$40$15

The cost difference is jaw-dropping! By choosing to rent premium silk flowers, you can achieve the same elegant look while saving thousands of dollars.

Tips for Saving on Wedding Flowers

Mix Fresh and Silk Flowers

If fresh flowers are a must-have, consider combining them with silk flowers. Many couples use fresh flowers for personal arrangements, like the bridal bouquet, while relying on silk florals for decor. The seamless blend of fresh and silk flowers creates a cohesive, stunning aesthetic.

Below, SBBlooms Insider, Samantha opted to carry a fresh floral bridal bouquet for herself and use decor products from the Eloise Collection for a gorgeous fresh and silk combo!

Start with a Preview Pack

Not sure where to begin? Order a Preview Pack from Something Borrowed Blooms. Choose two bridesmaid bouquets or centerpieces to see the colors and styles in person. Plus, enjoy $20 in reward points to apply toward your wedding order of $65 or more.

Affordable Reception Flowers

Reception flowers can quickly become one of the biggest expenses in your wedding budget. Elaborate fresh floral installations, such as arches or lush garlands, often cost thousands due to high labor and material costs. However, silk flowers offer a stunning, affordable alternative that’s easy to set up and budget-friendly.

At Something Borrowed Blooms, we provide a wide range of centerpiece options, including grand centerpieces, that pair beautifully with our collection of custom garlands, floral meadows, and floral swags. These pieces make it easy for any couple to achieve breathtaking, larger-than-life floral installations for less. Here’s how the costs compare:

Average Wedding FlowersSomething Borrowed Blooms
Archway Garland$275 - $550$50 - $65
Greenery Garland$65 - $70$6 - $18
Reception Table Centerpiece$165 - $250$28
Grand Centerpiece$275 - $350$120

Easy Setup with Silk Garlands

Our collection garlands coordinate perfectly with each collection and are designed for key focus areas such as ceremony arches, railings, and welcome signs. Setup is quick and simple: unpack, fluff, and attach with zip ties. For larger areas, connect multiple strands for a flawless look.

Whew! Who knew there was so much to consider when planning your wedding flowers? By now, you should have a clearer idea of the cost of wedding flowers and how to save without sacrificing beauty. 1. Color of the Year: Mocha Mousse

Pantone’s 2025 Color of the Year, Mocha Mouse, brings warmth and depth to wedding palettes. This rich, neutral tone is incredibly versatile and pairs beautifully with a variety of aesthetics.

Looking to incorporate this trending color into your wedding? Pair it with one of our premium silk floral collections for a modern and sophisticated look:

The Nina Collection: Mocha Mouse shines alongside the earthy elegance of our Nina Collection. Its rich tones blend perfectly with natural greens and creamy florals, creating a cozy and harmonious aesthetic ideal for fall or winter weddings.

The Wren Collection: For a softer, more romantic take, Mocha Mouse pairs beautifully with the Wren Collection’s delicate palette of white and peach orchids and light beige roses. This combination exudes understated elegance, making it a stunning choice for couples seeking timeless sophistication.

2. Colorful Wedding Flowers

Say goodbye to muted tones and hello to bold, colorful blooms! This trend is taking over, with searches for “colorful bridal bouquet” up 267% this year, according to Hitched. Couples are seeking vibrant, clashing arrangements to make a statement.

The Kate Collection: The Kate Collection strikes the perfect balance between modern simplicity and traditional romance. Featuring soft pink roses, peach accents, and various shades of blue, this collection offers a muted yet colorful palette.

The Gemma Collection: For the ultimate showstopper, Gemma is all about pink in every shade. Its vibrant and monochromatic designs feature bright bougainvillea, pink roses, camellias, lush ranunculus, and dreamy peonies—perfect for couples looking to make a bold, romantic statement.

The Kinsley Collection: With vivid hues, Kinsley is ideal for creating Pinterest-worthy moments. And, they’re sure to get that look with our most popular collection to date.

3. Fruits and Vegetables in Wedding Decor

Move over traditional florals—2025 is bringing a fresh take on wedding tablescapes with the use of fruits and vegetables in décor. This bold yet timeless trend adds texture, color, and a touch of organic charm to any setting. Imagine lush tablescapes adorned with rich-hued figs, artichokes, plums, and sprigs of greenery, creating a feast for the eyes before the meal even begins.

Incorporating produce into your wedding design not only amplifies the visual appeal but also introduces a sense of abundance and warmth. Paired with elegant details like gold flatware and taper candles, fruits and vegetables effortlessly elevate the tablescape into a work of art.

On the left, our Cameron Collection is beautifully complemented by vibrant fruits like grapefruits, pears, kiwis, and green grapes, seamlessly enhancing the colors of the floral arrangement. On the right, a single slice of orange paired with bright bougainvillea petals and lush greenery adds a fresh and distinctive touch, proving that even small details can elevate your wedding decor.

4. Dreamy Drapery Installations

Drapery is embracing a whimsical and romantic vibe for 2025 weddings, with soft, gauzy fabrics adorning ceilings and walls to create ethereal, dreamlike settings. Celebrity event planner Mindy Weiss highlights this trend, saying, “Draping with pick-ups creates a romantic and billowy effect that’s much more dynamic than straight lines.”

At Something Borrowed Blooms, our ready-to-use decor and floral accents make it effortless for couples to incorporate this enchanting trend into their special day. For example:

- SBBlooms Insider, Karley, showcased the dreamy drapery aesthetic beautifully through her ceremony arch adorned with floral swags and large centerpieces.

- Cascading ribbons on bridal bouquets and airy drapery installations create a magical, cohesive look that embodies this 2025 trend.

5. Cake Meadows and Vignettes

Dessert displays are flourishing in 2025, with cake meadows and vignettes stealing the spotlight as stunning centerpieces. Influencer Marlo Veillon set the perfect example by adorning her cake table with lush garlands like the Jane Garland and Premium Pink Cherry Blossom Garland. Highlights include:

Floral meadows: Large, stand-alone arrangements available in select collections that can be effortlessly placed in front of your cake table to craft a blooming meadow effect.

Garlands: Artfully draped and intertwined garlands create a seamless, cohesive design to elevate your cake display.

Rustic Romance: Samantha and Bradley’s Wedding

Wedding Planner uses Kate Collection at Fall Wedding

@canyonmoonphoto

Every wedding we’re a part of tells a unique love story, and Samantha and Bradley’s day was no exception. From their charming small-town beginnings to the vibrancy of their wedding day, this couple’s journey has inspired us. Today, we’re thrilled to share their story, florals, and details to show how Something Borrowed Blooms brought their vision to life.

The Planning

Samantha and Bradley’s love story began in a quaint Texas town with one blinking yellow light. They met as schoolmates, though it took years for their romance to blossom. Fast forward to their first date, an effortless conversation that lasted hours, and Samantha knew Bradley was the one. Together, they built a home, adopted two adorable fur babies, and embarked on their journey to forever.

As the owner of Raylee Jo Events, Samantha planned her wedding with ease, booking all vendors within 60 days. She envisioned a bold, elegant design with vintage charm, prioritizing budget and sustainability. Initially drawn to fresh flowers, Samantha found they couldn’t deliver the vibrancy she wanted within her budget—making Something Borrowed Blooms the perfect solution.

The Blooms

For Samantha, wedding flowers were more than just décor—they were deeply symbolic. Initially drawn to a local florist, she realized that fresh flowers couldn’t achieve the vibrancy she wanted without exceeding her budget. Discovering Something Borrowed Blooms was a game-changer.

When the Kate Collection launched weeks before her wedding, Samantha knew it was meant to be. The collection featured stunning sprigs of larkspur, her late brother’s birth flower, making it a sentimental and perfect choice. She swapped her original Kinsley order for Kate and never looked back.

Samantha loved the concept of renting flowers, not only for the cost savings but also for the sustainability aspect. Knowing she could eventually purchase her bridal bouquet as a keepsake sealed the deal.

The Details

Samantha’s bridal party was a vision of elegance. Her bridesmaids wore different shades of blue silk dresses, complementing the vibrant hues of their Kate Collection bridesmaid bouquets. The groomsmen embraced a classic, rustic style in neutral beige suit coats and cowboy hats, while standing out with Kate boutonnieres—a subtle yet striking nod to the wedding’s floral theme.

The couple’s ceremony space was adorned with Kate floral meadows and beautiful floral columns, effortlessly created with garlands from the Kate Collection. The set-up was not only a stunning backdrop for their vows but also served a dual purpose. After the ceremony, the arches were moved behind the bridal party table at the reception, creating a cohesive design that carried through the day. Large and vaseless Kate centerpieces were placed throughout the reception on dining tables.

The Review

Samantha describes her experience with Something Borrowed Blooms as “seamless.” The website made it easy to find exactly what she needed, and the team was helpful in ensuring her order was just right. When her flowers arrived, she and her maid of honor checked the inventory, fluffed the arrangements, and prepared everything for the big day.

Reflecting on her choice, Samantha said, “Using Something Borrowed Blooms was the absolute best decision for our wedding florals. It was cheaper, more sustainable, and so easy to return. I’ll be telling all my friends and future brides about SBBlooms!”

Congratulations to the happy couple—may your love continue to grow and bloom!

Winter Wedding Bliss: The Wedding of Hannah and Peggy

Something Borrowed Blooms’ Stella Collection shines at content creators' romantic winter wedding ceremony

@cassiejeanphotography

Weddings are a celebration of love and individuality and at Something Borrowed Blooms, we’re honored to be part of the moments that make your special day unforgettable. Recently, we spoke with Hannah Chambers, editor, content creator, and social media manager, about her journey to the altar and how Something Borrowed Blooms helped bring her wedding vision to life.

The Planning

Planning a wedding is no small feat, and for Hannah and her now-wife, Peggy, it was a journey full of intentional decisions. Hannah recalls the excitement and challenges of planning a two-year engagement:

"I had a document that listed every single floral moment, from bud vases on side tables in the lounge area by the bar to the reception tablescapes."

Their venue, a vintage-inspired hotel in Upstate New York, became the foundation of their design choices. The virtual tour feature on Wedding Wire allowed Hannah and Peggy to envision every detail, down to the placement of each floral arrangement.

But it wasn’t just spreadsheets and checklists that made the process special. With the help of a virtual styling session from Something Borrowed Blooms’ Social Media Manager, Abbey, they created a breathtaking broken arch floral installation for their wedding ceremony. The floral install became the highlight of their wedding photos and a labor of love assembled by Hannah’s mother.

The Blooms

Hannah and Peggy’s floral journey with Something Borrowed Blooms was one of discovery and evolution. Like many brides, Hannah began her search with budget in mind but soon found herself captivated by the sustainable and versatile offerings our rent and return wedding flowers provide.

After exploring multiple collections (and changing their minds a few times!), the couple ultimately fell head over heels for the Stella Collection. Its timeless yet modern vibe was the perfect match for their venue’s vintage charm and their wedding day aesthetic.

"I think my favorite piece might be the Stella Posy, which has a burgundy peony, a vanilla rosebud, and dusty miller leaves. We put lots of Stella Posies in our ceremony installation, and something about them still catches my eye when I look at photos."

Their choice was more than just aesthetic. Sustainability played a significant role in their decision. Hannah found comfort in knowing that the florals and décor from their wedding would continue to create memories for other couples, aligning beautifully with their values.

The Details

From start to finish, Hannah describes her experience with Something Borrowed Blooms as seamless and rewarding—not just as a bride but as a content creator passionate about storytelling. The ability to preview arrangements, adapt plans, and contribute to a more sustainable wedding industry stood out as highlights of her journey.

"Finding SBBlooms so early on in the process really helped guide my decisions throughout planning. Finding a more sustainable option for florals had me looking out for ways to be more mindful in other areas."

Hannah’s thoughtful approach extended beyond flowers. She embraced sustainable choices for her bridal wardrobe, from re-wearable swimsuits to lab-grown diamond wedding bands, inspired by her decision to rent florals.

Even after her wedding, Hannah remains an active member of the SBBlooms Insider community, sharing advice and inspiration with other couples and celebrating the creative ways others use our florals.

"I’ve been married for over a year, and I’m still in the Facebook group! A choice I initially made to save money ended up becoming a creative outlet and a way to build community."

Hannah’s story is a testament to the magic that happens when intentional planning meets creative solutions. At Something Borrowed Blooms, we’re honored to be part of love stories like Hannah and Peggy’s, offering couples the opportunity to celebrate in style while making sustainable, budget-friendly choices.

5 Timeless Wedding Color Schemes That Won't Go Out of Style

Choosing a wedding color scheme is one of the most significant decisions you'll make while planning your big day. The color scheme is taken in by guests attending your wedding and lives on through time in memories and photographs. A timeless wedding color scheme ensures your wedding photos remain elegant and stylish for years to come, allowing you to look back on your special day without feeling that it has aged or gone out of style. Let's explore classic combinations that are versatile and can adapt to various themes and settings, providing a solid foundation for a beautiful and cohesive wedding aesthetic.

Classic White and Green

Why White and Green Work Together

White and green are timeless color combinations that exude elegance and versatility. White symbolizes purity, innocence, and new beginnings, making it a perfect choice for weddings. Green, representing growth and harmony, complements white beautifully. This combination works well in any season and wedding venue, whether it's a rustic outdoor ceremony or a sophisticated indoor affair. The color palette is natural and organic, making it an obviously timeless colorway.

Styling Tips for White and Green Weddings

Incorporating white and green into various aspects of your wedding can create a fresh and natural look. Here are some ideas:

Wedding Flowers: Opt for white flowers like roses, peonies, and lilies paired with lush greenery such as eucalyptus, ferns, and ivy.

For white and green wedding flower inspiration, explore The Jane Collection, our number one best seller all year long. You truly can't go wrong with this classic color combination — countless real couples agree!

Table Settings: Use white or natural color tablecloths with green centerpieces, napkins, or table runners to add just enough color.

Attire: Any shade of green can be timeless for your bridesmaids. Choose a deeper hue for winter months and a lighter hue for summertime, or defy the rules and choose the hue of green that your heart desires. Your green of choice can be used for your bridesmaids or groomsmen, as well.

Elegant Blush and Gold

The Charm of Blush and Gold

Blush and gold is a romantic and sophisticated color combination. Blush, with its soft pink hue, adds a gentle, romantic touch, while gold brings in luxury and warmth. This combination is ideal for both vintage and modern wedding themes, offering a timeless appeal that can easily adapt to different styles and settings.

Decor Ideas for Blush and Gold Weddings

Here are some ways to incorporate blush and gold into your wedding decor:

Wedding Flowers: Incorporating this wedding color palette into your wedding floral arrangement is easy. Most floral varieties, including roses, peonies, hydrangeas, and more, are available in a soft blush or pale pink.

For blush and pink floral inspiration, explore our Charlotte Collection for a beautiful pop of pink. If you're looking for something with more muted pink and blush, try our Bianca or Wren Collections.

Bridal Party Attire: Select bridesmaids dresses in a variety of soft blush and pink shades, or choose a complementary color for the entire bridal party to coordinate. Accessorize with delicate gold-toned jewelry.

Invitations: This is a great place to pull in gold! Choose an invitation with gold foil accents for an elegant touch.

To avoid overwhelming the setting, balance these colors with neutral tones like ivory and creams.

Navy and Burgundy

The Bold Appeal of Navy and Burgundy

Navy and burgundy create a striking and timeless combination. Navy, a sophisticated and classic color, pairs beautifully with burgundy, which adds a rich, dramatic flair. This combination perfectly represents fall wedding colors and winter wedding colors, offering a warm and inviting feel while maintaining a sense of elegance.

Creating a Cohesive Look with Navy and Burgundy

To integrate navy and burgundy throughout your wedding, consider the following tips:

Floral Arrangements: Focus on burgundy and red wedding flowers like dahlias, roses and hydrangeas.

For burgundy wedding floral arrangement inspiration, take a look at our Kimpton Collection for a variety of rich red hues, or consider our Stella Collection. Both of these floral collections are timeless and beautiful.

Table Settings: Use navy tablecloths to compliment your burgundy centerpieces. Gold or silver accents can add an extra touch of elegance. Be very intentional with the navy and burgundy color palette, placing each where appropriate and creating a formal yet rustic wedding to remember.

Bridal Party Attire: The wedding attire is a great place to mix the two colors. Bridesmaids can wear burgundy dresses, and groomsmen can wear navy suits, or both bridesmaids and groomsmen can wear navy attire to allow the burgundy wedding flowers to really pop.

Be sure to mix in neutral colors like cream or grey to balance the boldness of navy and burgundy, creating a harmonious and sophisticated look.

Soft Pastels

The Delicate Beauty of Pastel Color Schemes

Pastel color schemes, including soft shades like lavender, peach, and mint, create a light  and romantic atmosphere. These colors are delicate and timeless, making them suitable for spring and summer weddings. Pastels bring a light and airy feel, perfect for an outdoor wedding or elegant indoor celebration.

Pastel Wedding Decor Ideas

Incorporate pastels into your wedding decor with these ideas:

Wedding Flowers: For a dreamy look, use a mix of pastel flowers such as lavender, peach roses, and mint foliage. You may also opt for a monochromatic design by choosing one color and incorporating a full range of shades. Pastels are easy to incorporate in wedding flowers since there are always in-season varieties available in these shades.

For pastel wedding flower inspiration, explore another one of our best sellers, The Millie Collection. This delicate floral collection focuses on all shades of blue and cream. For a full pastel design, try our Cameron Collection or The Eloise Collection.

Table Linens: Choose pastel-colored tablecloths, napkins, or runners to add a soft touch to your reception tables.

Bridesmaid Dresses: Dress your bridesmaids in different pastel shades for a coordinated yet dynamic look.

Pastels can also be used in wedding cakes and stationery, adding a cohesive and elegant feel to your wedding decor.

Classic Black and White

The Timelessness of Black and White

The most timeless color scheme of them all. Black and white is a classic choice for weddings, offering an elegant and sophisticated look. This high-contrast combination is suitable for any wedding style, from modern to traditional, creating a timeless and chic atmosphere. It also works anytime of year for a nighttime celebration!

Styling a Black and White Wedding

Create a chic and elegant black and white wedding with these tips:

Wedding Flowers: Focus your wedding flowers on mostly floral elements, and include less greenery to maximize the impact of the white. Explore bridal bouquet styles and choose from roses, peonies, orchids, and many other floral varieties in white and cream.

For wedding flower inspiration to compliment your black and white wedding, we suggest The Wren Collection or The Audrey Collection. Both of these wedding flower designs feature mostly white florals with little to no greenery for high contrast and big impact.

Attire: The bride obviously wears the classic white gown, while the groom and groomsmen wear a black tuxedos or suits. Bridesmaids in all black dresses are as timeless as it gets. And your bridesmaids will thank you for a dress that can be worn again!

Venue: Select a venue that fits your vision for a black and white color scheme. Think black and white floor tiles or classic white walls and clean architecture to compliment your timeless color palette. Add metallic accents like gold or silver for extra glamor.

Invitations and details shots: Choose black and white invitations with elegant typography and minimalistic designs. For detail shots, opt for high contrast of white on black and vice versa.

This timeless color scheme ensures sophisticated and elegant vintage weddings that will never go out of style.

Romantic Lavender and Grey

The Subtle Elegance of Lavender and Grey

Lavender and grey create a romantic and calming color combination. Lavender adds a soft, romantic touch, while grey brings balance and sophistication. This combination is perfect for spring and summer weddings, offering a delicate and elegant atmosphere.

Decor Ideas for Lavender and Grey Weddings

Incorporate lavender and grey into your wedding with these ideas:

Floral Arrangements: Use a lavender floral design, including roses and lilacs or anomalies in all shades of purple. You may also consider grey foliage such as dusty miller for a romantic rustic wedding.

Our favorite lavender wedding flowers can be found in The Marlowe Collection. This ombre design features a variety of purple and lavender flowers and is truly stunning. Another favorite is The Taylor Collection, which includes both lavender and grey elements.

Table Settings: Let the lavender flowers take centerstage on your tablescapes, while accenting with purple. Select grey tablecloths with silver accents to pull the colorway together.

Bridesmaid Dresses: Select lavender dresses for your Bridesmaids, and the groom and groomsmen should wear a grey suit with lavender accents.

Speciality Cocktail: For a special touch, consider adding a themed cocktail to the menu. A lavender French 75 cocktail at the reception entrance would be another great way to introduce your theme while delighting guests.

These colors can also be used in wedding cakes and stationery, creating a cohesive and elegant feel for your wedding decor.

Let this most requested wedding color palette from Something Borrowed Blooms inspire your wedding planning.

Introducing the newest premium silk wedding flower collection from Something Borrowed Blooms: the breathtaking Kate Collection. Featuring a delicate mix of pastel-hued blooms, soft pink and peach accents, and vibrant blue tones, this collection truly stands out. Our design team had an incredible time bringing these looks to life in our recent launch photoshoot, and we're thrilled to share all the thoughtful details with you to inspire your wedding planning. Follow along to shop the look!

THE WEDDING FLOWERS

Let’s begin with the wedding flowers! Our SBBlooms Insiders Facebook group has been an invaluable source of inspiration for every new collection. With input from our past, present, and future brides, our design team has created the perfect collection for couples seeking soft, multi-colored flowers for their special day.

Minimal pittosporum greenery accentuates delicate pink roses, hydrangeas, peach ranunculus, and larkspur, creating a sophisticated yet fresh look that complements a range of wedding styles, from garden chic to formal.

This full collection has everything you need to complete your ceremony and reception, including two bridal bouquet styles, a coordinating bridesmaid bouquet and posy, and other bridal party arrangements. With various centerpiece options, it’s easy to add height and dimension to your setup, while the floral runner and meadow arrangements serve as stunning statement pieces!

THE LOOK

For this photoshoot, we wanted to ensure the colors of the wardrobe perfectly complemented the florals in the collection. Our goal was to enhance the soft, multi-colored blooms with selections that brought out the beauty of the arrangements. For the bridesmaids, we selected dresses in various styles and shades of green and blue from Lula Kate, creating a harmonious and elegant look. Among the choices, the Key Lime Bengaline color was a standout, offering a fresh, subtle contrast that beautifully highlighted the soft tones of the florals. It was the perfect pairing to complete the vision!

To highlight the classic elegance of this collection, we chose two contrasting yet equally show-stopping dresses from a renowned local Bridal boutique; Oui Jolie. The first was a sleek, drop waist, strapless ballgown, offering a modern twist on a timeless silhouette with clean lines and understated beauty. The second was a timeless long-sleeve lace ball gown, embodying romantic sophistication with intricate lace detailing and a regal, full skirt. Together, these gowns perfectly showcased the versatility and elegance of the collection, creating an unforgettable bridal look for any wedding style.

THE DETAILS

The options for your ceremony setup are truly limitless! For this shoot, we showcased all three variations of the Kate Aisle Markers to create a beautifully coordinated color palette. We lined the aisle with Kate floral meadows and vaseless centerpieces, adding depth to the scene.

The ceremony arch was adorned with the collection’s custom garland, interwoven with our new Baby’s Breath garland, and the focal arch incorporated our newest product, the floral runner. The Kate floral runner packs a big punch with a full, lush display of flowers and effortless install. The floral runner is composed of a flexible foam base with velcro attachments, making it very versatile and easy to install. Together, these three arches created a stunning focal point that tied everything together seamlessly.

For the reception, design a stunning tablescape by featuring the Kate Grand Centerpieces on stands, with vaseless centerpieces placed between, creating layers of height. Elevate the look by incorporating our beige bud vases, each filled with lifelike yellow and pink rose stems, to enhance the floral display. To maximize your décor, repurpose the floral meadows and centerpieces from the ceremony by using them to adorn the cake table, creating a seamless, cohesive floral moment throughout your space.

We hope you love the Kate Collection as much as we do and that this post has inspired your wedding planning!

Krista and Daniel’s Garden-Party Wedding Celebration

The Eloise and Millie Collections shine together at Georgia Spring Wedding

@awphotoco

Planning a wedding can be an overwhelming experience, filled with countless decisions and last minute details that need to be just right to execute the wedding of your dreams. For SBBlooms Insider, Krista Sims and her now-husband, Daniel, the journey to their perfect spring wedding was made easier and more beautiful with the help of Something Borrowed Blooms

Here’s a glimpse into their story and how they crafted their dream wedding with rent and return premium silk flowers.

The Planning

Krista and Daniel first met five years ago in the Emergency Department, where they both worked as ED techs. Their shared passion for helping others led them to nursing school, and eventually, they both became registered nurses. Their love story blossomed amidst the hustle and bustle of the health field, and they decided to make it official and tie the knot in a whimsical spring wedding.

When it came to planning the wedding, Krista knew she wanted something that fit their spring color palette while also having a whimsical, but elegant style. After speaking with several local florists, she realized achieving her vision with fresh flowers would be challenging, especially on a tight budget and the need for seasonal availability of certain flowers. That's when she discovered Something Borrowed Blooms.

The Blooms

Krista was drawn to the ease and convenience of Something Borrowed Blooms, which solved her flower dilemma! The ability to rent exactly what she envisioned and stay within her budget was just what she needed. The quality of the premium silk flowers blew her away, and the option to rent additional decor items like candlesticks and lanterns was a bonus. Not only was Krista impressed, but her other wedding vendors couldn’t believe how real the silk blooms looked and how seamless the rental process was.

Krista rented the Eloise Bridal Bouquet for her bouquet and added a few larkspur stems for subtle hints of blue. The Bridesmaids coordinated perfectly by holding the Eloise Bridesmaid bouquets. Each arrangement was wrapped in a beautiful ivory ribbon to enhance the look of the bouquets. We love how each bridesmaid showcased personality in a variety of pink dresses.

The Ceremony

Krista chose to mix the Eloise and Millie Collections for the ceremony to tie in the blue from her bridal bouquet. The colors of these collections blended beautifully, creating a stunning visual effect that perfectly matched their wedding theme. The ceremony was set inside the venue at Warm Springs with massive windows overlooking the lush green forest. The ceremony flowers looked so realistic that guests were amazed to find out they were not fresh flowers!

Krista covered the provided circular arch by intertwining Millie and Eloise Garlands, with the addition of White Wisteria Garland as a delicate, focal point on the backdrop.

The Reception

The reception continued the ‘garden party’ theme with charming and sophisticated decor. The long dining tables were decorated with an abundance of gold brass tulip candlesticks and gorgeous crystal glass votives paired with eucalyptus garlands. The Eloise large and Grand Centerpieces were also used around the reception space and held up beautifully throughout the day, maintaining their fresh appearance from start to finish.

The Review

Reflecting on the planning process, Krista shared that choosing Something Borrowed Blooms was one of their best wedding decisions. The exclusive Facebook group and the customer service team were incredibly helpful, making the planning process smooth and enjoyable.

The wedding flowers and decor from Something Borrowed Blooms were a standout feature of their wedding day, adding to the overall beauty and magic of the event. Krista highly recommends SBBlooms to couples looking for high-quality, beautiful, and budget-friendly wedding flowers.

In Krista's words, “Overall, we are so happy we chose SBBlooms. It was one of our favorite things from our day. It truly made our day so beautiful!”

Congratulations, Krista and Daniel! We’re so honored to have been a part of your wedding and can’t wait to be a part of many more events to come.
